Yet In last 2 Years I been reading a Lot about cures for various cancers and testing that is in progress on vaccines. Yet when I go to Cancer Societies Web sites they Post none of this news. All they Keep Posting is MORE and MORE Money Needed.From many other articles Feed the Children and Red Cross are both a scam Too. Thus Why I will post Links to MANY articles to all this.

I been studying health so far for over the past 8 years I have over 200 + health websites bookmarked and countless article save. I collect more and more of the same info and new information on related health topic. The way I see it is studying health and nutrition is like piecing together a puzzle that has several images that tie together larger picture. With that said I will post A LOT of info and things tying it all together. Much of this is simple to know.

Types of Cholesterol

Cholesterol along with some other types of fat cannot be dissolved in the blood. In order for them to be transported to and from cells, they have to be specially carried by molecules called lipoproteins. These molecules consist of an outer layer of protein with an inner core of cholesterol and triglycerides (a form of fat). Lipoproteins are essential for cholesterol to move around the body. Mainly there two types of lipoproteins - High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and Low Density Lipoproteins (LDL).

Low Density Lipoproteins carry fats to different parts of the body. LDL carry about 60-70 percent of the cholesterol around the body and thus called "bad" cholesterol. Studies show that excess cholesterol leads to much higher risk of heart attack and/or stroke. Although there are other factors involved in this risk such as age, gender, smoking, family history of heart disease, and diabetes mellitus, higher cholesterol is a major contributing factor that should not be ignored.

HDL, on the other hand, transports cholesterol from cells back to the liver. At this point, they are either reused or converted to bile acids and disposed. Therefore, HDL is called "good" cholesterol.

HDL actually helps fight the risk of heart attack and/or stroke. Because they consist of more protein than that of triglycerides or cholesterol, they work hard to remove LDL from your artery walls. When your physician checks your LDL cholesterol level, it is very possible that he or she will want to look at the HDL and triglycerides levels at the same time.

Very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol is a type of lipoprotein. Although you may hear about VLDL, your VLDL level usually isn't reported to you as a part of a routine cholesterol test.

There are several types of cholesterol, each made up of lipoproteins and fats. Each type of lipoprotein contains a mixture of cholesterol, protein and a type of fat (triglyceride), but in varying amounts.

Of the lipoprotein types, VLDL contains the highest amount of triglyceride. Because it contains a high level of triglyceride, having a high VLDL level means you may have an increased risk of coronary artery disease, which can lead to a heart attack or stroke.

There's no simple, direct way to measure VLDL cholesterol, which is why it's normally not mentioned during a routine cholesterol screening. VLDL cholesterol is usually estimated as a percentage of your triglyceride value. A normal VLDL cholesterol level is between 5 and 40 milligrams per deciliter.

What are triglycerides?

Triglycerides, as major components of very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) and chylomicrons, play an important role in metabolism as energy sources and transporters of dietary fat. They contain more than twice as much energy (9 kcal/g or 38 kJ/g ) as carbohydrates and proteins. In the intestine, triglycerides are split into monoacylglycerol and free fatty acids in a process called lipolysis, with the secretion of lipases and bile, which are subsequently moved to absorptive enterocytes, cells lining the intestines. The triglycerides are rebuilt in the enterocytes from their fragments and packaged together with cholesterol and proteins to form chylomicrons. These are excreted from the cells and collected by the lymph system and transported to the large vessels near the heart before being mixed into the blood. Various tissues can capture the chylomicrons, releasing the triglycerides to be used as a source of energy. Fat and liver cells can synthesize and store triglycerides. When the body requires fatty acids as an energy source, the hormone glucagon signals the breakdown of the triglycerides by hormone-sensitive lipase to release free fatty acids. As the brain cannot utilize fatty acids as an energy source (unless converted to a ketone), the glycerol component of triglycerides can be converted into glucose, via glycolysis by conversion into Dihydroxyacetone phosphate and then into Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate, for brain fuel when it is broken down. Fat cells may also be broken down for that reason, if the brain's needs ever outweigh the body's.

Reducing triglyceride levels

Diets high in carbohydrates, with carbohydrates accounting for more than 60% of the total caloric intake, can increase triglyceride levels. Of note is how the correlation is stronger for those with higher BMI (28+) and insulin resistance (more common among overweight and obese) is a primary suspect cause of this phenomenon of carbohydrate-induced hypertriglyceridemia.

There is evidence that carbohydrate consumption causing a high glycemic index can cause insulin overproduction and increase triglyceride levels in women.

Adverse changes associated with carbohydrate intake, including triglyceride levels, are stronger risk factors for heart disease in women than in men.

Triglyceride levels are also reduced by exercise, omega-3 fatty acids from fish, flax seed oil, and other sources. Recommendation in the U.S. is that one ingest up to 3 grams a day of such oils. It has been found that residents in Western countries do not ingest sufficient quantity of food with omega-3. In Europe, the recommendation is for up to 2 grams. However, omega-3 consumption should be balanced with omega-6 fatty acids, in a ω-6/ω-3 ratio between 1:1 and 4:1 (i.e., no more than four grams omega-6 for every one of omega-3).

Carnitine has the ability to lower blood triglyceride levels. In some cases, fibrates have been used to bring down triglycerides substantially.

The research, funded by the British Heart Foundation (BHF), found that 'ultrabad' cholesterol, called MGmin-low-density lipoprotein (LDL), which is more common in people with type 2 diabetes and the elderly, appears to be 'stickier' than normal LDL. This makes it more likely to attach to the walls of arteries. When LDL attaches to artery walls it helps form the dangerous 'fatty' plaques' that cause coronary heart disease (CHD).

The researchers made the discovery by creating human MGmin-LDL in the laboratory, then studying its characteristics and interactions with other important molecules in the body.

They found that MGmin-LDL is created by the addition of sugar groups to 'normal' LDL – a process called glycation – making LDL smaller and denser. By changing its shape, the sugar groups expose new regions on the surface of the LDL. These exposed regions are more likely to stick to artery walls, helping to build fatty plaques. As fatty plaques grow they narrow arteries - reducing blood flow - and they can eventually rupture, triggering a blood clot that causes a heart attack or stroke.

Heterocyclic Amines in Cooked Meats

Research has shown that cooking certain meats at high temperatures creates chemicals that are not present in uncooked meats. A few of these chemicals may increase cancer risk. For example, heterocyclic amines (HCAs) are the carcinogenic chemicals formed from the cooking of muscle meats such as beef, pork, fowl, and fish. HCAs form when amino acids (the building blocks of proteins) and creatine (a chemical found in muscles) react at high cooking temperatures. Researchers have identified 17 different HCAs resulting from the cooking of muscle meats that may pose human cancer risk.

Based on the existing research, the best approach may be to enjoy grilled meats occasionally, but not on a regular basis. This is a judgment call, but it makes sense to limit your exposure to carcinogens (chemicals linked to cancer).

The worrisome chemicals created by grilling meats are called heterocyclic amines (HAs). They form during grilling, broiling, or even searing meat in a very hot frying pan -- when the very high temperatures break down the amino acid creatinine.

The researchers found that body fat mass did decrease more in the group of people taking vitamin C, although they describe the difference as not being statistically significant.

However the results may be beneficial for those whose weight loss has reached a plateau, or for those wanting to give their body as much help as possible. (HealthDay News) -- Vitamin C is often recommended to help fight the common cold and heal wounds, but the antioxidant might have another benefit: it appears to help adult cells generate embryonic-like stem cells, new research suggests.

The findings, published online Dec. 24 in the journal Cell Stem Cell, add to previous research that showed how adult cells can be reprogrammed. The problem, researchers explained, is that the process doesn't work very well.

"The low efficiency of the reprogramming process has hampered progress with this technology and is indicative of how little we understand it. Further, this process is most challenging in human cells," senior study author Duanqing Pei, of the South China Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, said in a news release from the journal's publisher.

The researchers found that vitamin C boosted the process in both human and mouse cells.

"It is also of interest that a vitamin with long-suspected anti-aging effects has such a potent influence on reprogramming, which can be considered a reversal of the aging process at the cellular level. It is likely that our work may stimulate further research in this area as well," Pei added.

I keep telling people it won't be long before they out law or do away with our National Anthem due to fact it offending a small portion of people in America. (Due to singing the "God Bless America" portion of it) We used to worry about "The Tyranny of the Majority" Now it seems it to be the "Tyranny of the Minority" in the U.S. It seems in America the Minority get a 50% say in everything even though they are less than 20% of population. So now any fringe group can dictate how the rest of us all now live, talk, walk, breath and think. All because we become this sissified P.C.(politically correct) country where people coward in fear. Rather than speaking the truth that will offend many who don't want to hear the truth, they rather tip toe around on eggshells than offend someone that might need a dose of truth and reality. If you are not p.c. you will be tagged a racist. Yet what can be said by a person changes day by day by groups in America. Many of the groups know this and use it to their advantage. Which many of the groups do only do so when the media walks away from them and they are not in the lime light any more. We only have to turn on tv for few seconds to see how narcissistically camera hungry and starved for attention people are.

The bottom line of this all is many people are lazy in America. I am not throwing everyone under the bus when I say that. Yet we look at what our parents had to do for work back then. Many of our parents and grandparents toiled hard to place a meal on the table and worked in conditions that the generations of today rather starve than sweat up their clothes. Case at point.. No longer do we see teens bailing hay for money, picking crops from fields, mowing grass for money, delivering newspapers. Sure many parents want a easier life for their child turned into a abomination of spoiled rotting monsters that go around saying "Give Me -Give Me -Give Me!" Many teens today are not even aware of the hard work and stress their parents go through to bring home a paycheck.

We heard not too long ago Denmark is the happiest country in the world. When interviewed they wonder why Americans have this huge obsession in get rich and wanting to become millionaires. As I stated before laziness. Do we ever see many movies based on hard working people or people going from poor to celebrity status with a book deal. Every one is looking to get something for the minimal amount of effort or free. This is why we see many teens and adults with what we call the "Entitlement Attitude". In many older movies we used to see people cringing at someone else helping them and saying "I Don't need your Charity!" Now days many parents teach their young to take all what you can get for free and ways to cheat the so called system. This goes along with why many inner city youth rather lie, cheat and steal to get what they want. Needless to say all this is powered by large companies who feed their minds with consumerist ideals 24/7. "Your nobody unless you have this, unless you have this people won't respect you, love you and want to be with you!" One reason also why teens rather risk their life selling drugs to make more money in one day than working a job. "Work" in America is planted in the minds of people as a four letter word. This explains why the poorest people in America spend the most too on Lottery tickets in hopes of riding the gravy train. Yet also hearing in the news most lottery winners end up in debt. Same reason why many of the poor spend outside their means to put on the appearance they are rich. If people were smart rent-to-own businesses would be a thing of the past. Just as the bible story Esau sold his birth right inheritance to his twin brother Jacob for momentary comfort of a bowl of red stew to eat. Need I go also into the enormous debt people going into credit card debt due to "Must have it now or die!" attitude. The past people used to say "Cash on the barrel" Now people say, "Charge it!" There is no ends of what people would go through for money, rich children murdering parents for inheritance, murdering wife/husband for insurance money, trying to smuggle drugs in to country, selling top secret information on black market, unfit parents trying to sell their children for sex, or upright just selling their children for money and the list goes on.
Bottom line is people fail to see that the poor are just as money hungry as the rich they curse at for being so.

What does this have to do with the National Anthem? As Americans being made up of different races and cultures we had a group idea what it ment to be a American in a sense. During WWII did only white America rise up to fight the Nazis?, or did we as a melting pot country rise up? One reason why many others in the world looked up to us as a country was becuase of that fight for justice and freedom and all for them to be in hopes for Life, Liberty and the presuit of Happiness. Things that used to be very unacceptable in America are now the norm. Customes and traditions are things of the past. As a example "The Pledge of Allegiance", it used to be something every student and American use to recite with pride and when played everyone rose for it. Now large groups of people scoff at it.

The sign of the times. Sign of what? I have heard countless teens say, "Do what you feel as long as it don't hurt anyone." Basically live like a hedonistic lifestyle void of any morals and values and self restraint. Many parents today tell me they raising their children to choose what religion and lifestyle they want. You know the type of parents husband playing Xbox and wife on pc doing farmville while their children sit in front of the tv drinking pop and chips for dinner. Growing up I have my parents to thank for making me sit down and think about what I did was wrong and tell them why 5-10 minutes later. Now if you ask teens why did something they are clueless to point of zombieism. Like a pc they basically go blue screen when you ask them, "Why did you do that?" It used to be in America's past we had great thinkers that used a lot of forethought in their thinking and speeches. Now we see common folk to politicians walking around with a foot in their mouth. Many lost jobs and destroyed their careers due to what they had to say. People now day live by what they feel is right than what is actually is right so to say. Feelings triumph more over standards,character and morals now days. Yet very few parents bestow virtue into their children. Many never were taught themselves by their parents those things as we are live in society with a divorce rate of over 50%. Now many young couple don't want to commit to a relationship with fidelity. As stated no one want to to put the work needed into it and commitment.

Bottom line to this all..... No one cares due to laziness. Welcome to our Apathetic country! This as many from other countries I know ask why we are not rising up against our corrupt government. A government that wants you to keep track of every cent and dime you earn and what you spend it on yet they themselves fail at. You know our government is too beg when right before 9-11 3.3 trillion went missing from D.O.C and H.U.D. and at the same time Donald Rumsfeld tells the American people 2.3 trillion went missing from the Pentagon. Yet they are going after children for not having a business license to sell lemonade. To add hundreds of millions too went missing from Iraq during the war, yet no one gets charged. We spend millions for senate hearings on corruptness and still after spending millions each hearing not one person gets charged. Corporations rob people, kill and destroy and get off scott free as the name blame and was not aware as the buck gets passed around. If any company or person does get fined it is a mere drop in the bucket compared to what they done.

I don't mean to come off ranting, but when people are too lazy to demands the person walking all over them to stop we freely allow those in power to upright enslave us. Which as we see hundreds of new laws written yearly that are slowly taking away our rights. Many of the laws passed due to people lacking morals and ethics. Yet Senators up right admit... DeMint- "Over 90% of Bills Passed Secretly With No Debate, No Vote", in middle of the night with out them know what is in them. One reason why senators who voted for the Health Care Bill are now opposing it.

If we don't stand up against corruption that speaks a lot about ourselves.

Here is a condensed version:

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers.

They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel.

The wheel was invented to get man to the beer.

These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals
2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture.

Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer.

This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement...

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing.

This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women.

They became known as girlie-men.

Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass for obvious reasons.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water.

They eat raw fish

but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.

Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud, Stroh’s or Miller.

They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively.

Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing.

They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production.

Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans.

That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America.

They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a

business of trying to get more for nothing.

Once acetyl-CoA enters the Kreb’s Cycle, it undergoes various reactions that ultimately end in the production of large quantities of ATP. The PDC acts as a gatekeeper that facilitates and regulates the entry of pyruvate in to the Kreb’s Cycle.

In essence, the PDC determines whether the pyruvate molecules will be transformed into acetyl-CoA. If pyruvate is converted to acetyl-CoA, the cells can use the acetyl-CoA to undergo aerobic respiration. If pyruvate is unable to be converted to acetyl-CoA, the pyruvate is used in anaerobic respiration. If the PDC is damaged, fewer pyruvate molecules are converted to acetyl-CoA, which results in a decrease in the rate of aerobic respiration and a decrease in the number of ATP molecules produced. Instead, the pyruvate molecules stay in the cytosol and undergo anaerobic respiration, producing increased amounts of lactate. An abnormal lactate buildup results in various symptoms such as severe lethargy (tiredness) and poor feeding, especially during times of illness, stress, or high carbohydrate intake.

Extract slows growth in lab cultures, researchers say

FRIDAY, March 10 (HealthDay News) -- An extract from dried papaya slows the growth of cancer cells in the laboratory, researchers report.

It's not clear if it will have the same effect on cancer in people, however.

University of Florida researcher Dr. Nam Dang and Japanese colleagues report that the papaya extract appears to affect the regulation of the body's immune system and doesn't cause side effects by harming normal cells.

The findings reflect the use of papaya by indigenous people in Australia and Vietnam, Dang, a professor of medicine, said in a news release from the university.

"Based on what I have seen and heard in a clinical setting, nobody who takes this extract experiences demonstrable toxicity; it seems like you could take it for a long time -- as long as it is effective," he said.

The researchers report that four strengths of papaya leaf extract slowed the growth of 10 types of cancer cell cultures, including cancers of the cervix, breast, liver, lung and pancreas.

The study was published in a recent issue of Journal of Ethnopharmacology.

July 7, 2008 -- Resveratrol, a nutrient found in red wine, keeps estrogen from causing breast cancer in test-tube studies.

Prolonged exposure to estrogen is a major risk factor for breast cancer. Most research has focused on the interactions between estrogen and estrogen receptors on breast cancer cells.

But when the body's system for processing estrogen gets out of balance, dangerous estrogen metabolites appear. These toxic compounds react with DNA in breast cells and jump-start the growth of tumors.

Now Eleanor G. Rogan, PhD, and colleagues at the University of Nebraska show that resveratrol decreases the processing of estrogen into these dangerous compounds. Perhaps more importantly, it also blocks interactions between estrogen metabolites and cellular DNA.

And that's not all. Rogan's team finds that resveratrol increases production of an enzyme that destroys dangerous estrogen metabolites.

"Resveratrol has the ability to prevent the first step that occurs when estrogen starts the process that leads to cancer," Rogan says in a news release. "We believe that this could stop the whole progression that leads to breast cancer down the road."

The Rogan team's findings come from studies of human breast cells grown in the laboratory. It's a long way from showing that resveratrol can actually prevent cancer in women.

Even so, there's a hopeful sign: Resveratrol had anticancer effects at very low doses.

"This is dramatic because it was able to be done with fairly low concentrations of resveratrol," Rogan says.

A resveratrol concentration of 10 micromoles per liter was able to keep estrogen metabolites from interacting with DNA. A glass of red wine has a resveratrol concentration between 9 and 28 micromoles per liter.

However, a 2007 study in the U.K. suggested that even very high doses of resveratrol do not achieve blood concentrations as high as those needed for anticancer effects.

Resveratrol is a naturally occurring antioxidant found in the skins of red grapes, red wine, red or purple grape juice, peanuts, blueberries, and cranberries. It's also available in dietary supplements.

Although many health claims have been made for resveratrol, the risks and benefits of taking this supplement have not been formally tested in definitive clinical trials.

Rogan and colleagues report their findings in the July issue of Cancer Prevention Research.

A little over a year ago my Aunt died of pancreatic cancer.

The doctor told her it might been from drinking water from a plastic bottles she left out in her car during the day. How so? When a water bottle is left in the sun it leaches toxic chemicals from the plastic into the water. A Chemical called BPA or (Bisphenol A)

This is beside the facts she drank soda pop a lot. She looked in great heath and felt fine also during the last Thanksgiving. Two weeks later she thought she had the flu. She went in for surgery I think for her gallbladder. That was when they found black legions on other organs. By early spring time she died. Pancreatic Cancer has a 95% mortality rate. She died slow painful death.

So anytime you drink water from a bottle and you taste plastic, there is two reason for that.

1) The water bottle has been on the shelf too long.
2) The water been in sun or heat for a time.

Heating up water, drinks, coffee in plastic cups can cause the chemicals in the plastic to leach out also. This is one reason why you should never heat up food in plastic food containers also.

For years diet soda has been portrayed as the “healthier soda” choice because it has no calories. But zero calorie sweeteners like saccharin and aspartame come with risks including a link with bladder cancer, brain tumors, and osteoporosis. If that’s not reason enough to put down the frighteningly sweet bubbled beverage, new research recently presented at the American Stroke Association’s International Stroke Conference in Los Angeles found that daily intake of diet soda increases your risk of vascular events by 61 percent, according to a story on the Today Show.

While the study has yet to be released, new research presented last week at the International Stroke Conference points to real evidence that links diet beverages to vascular events including heart attack and stroke. But scientists have yet to figure out why the use of sugar-free sweeteners like aspartame and saccharin is causing the incidence and what exact amount would be deemed unsafe. But they did outline the risk of daily consumption, which for many Americans who drink 3 to 4 cans a day, is scary stuff.

The study, which was done at Columbia University and University of Miami, followed 2,500 New Yorkers for 9 years and found that those that consumed diet soda every day had a 61 percent increased risk of vascular events such as stroke or heart attack than those that drank none.

According to the Today’s Show Chief Medical Editor Dr. Nancy Snyderman, diet sodas have in some ways shaped our society to crave sweeter things and more of them because they are just so much sweeter than sugar. What’s more, new studies are showing that diet sodas can “rejigger” the brain to make us crave other things.

“The lines are just being drawn. This battle is heating up,” says Snyderman.

And she’s right. The beverage industry is ready to battle. Saying that the study unfairly portrays diet soda as a villain and that the study didn’t control for vascular family history or weight. But more and more studies are linking these diet beverages to a host of frightening illnesses.

Not only is soda bad for you, it’s bad for the planet considering that cans and plastic bottles are hugely wasteful. Even though they can be recycled, it takes energy to recycle them. Plus the manufacturing and transport of beverages with absolutely no nutritional density is hugely wasteful.

BPA found in soda cans

That the synthetic sex hormone BPA can be found in baby bottles and some water bottles is well known. State and federal legislation, actions by state attorneys general, and market forces have been engaged in the effort to get BPA out of baby bottles. But soda cans have escaped similar scrutiny. Until now. Tests performed by Health Canada, a government agency, confirmed BPA is found in soda cans, according to a report in the Globe and Mail.

BPA is found in the lining of soda cans, which keep soda from coming in contact with metal; infant formula cans and most food cans are lined with BPA as well. Nineteen states have pending legislation to regulate BPA.

California, Connecticut, Illinois, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Washington State are states where BPA bills have been introduced.

The Canadian study found the highest levels of BPA was found in energy drinks, but BPA was also present in other types of sodas. Ninety-six percent of the sodas tested were found to have BPA at levels below the regulatory limit.

Yet recent studies show that BPA at low doses -- levels under the regulatory limit -- may cause harm. And hundreds of scientific studies have linked BPA to health problems ranging from heart disease to breast cancer to infertility.

The Globe and Mail reported that scientists are worried about ingestion of minute amounts of BPA leaching from food and beverage containers because the chemical is a synthetic sex hormone, "able to fool cells into viewing it as estrogen, providing what amounts to an extra dollop of the female hormone."

I just called the Red Cross. They told me they are still waiting to figure out what to do, but for the mean time they are still collecting money. I was told same thing by them when I called them over a week ago. Yet I read from AP News only 1 cent out of one U.S. dollar is going to Haiti. This as the "Charity" helping organization leaders make more money in one year than any of the people they will be helping will make in life time. I recently wrote a dozen companies over a week ago about sending goods. Many said they were told as like the Red Cross keeps stating, "Just to send Money". Now their are many articles pleading the need tents for the Haitians. Funny how Coleman was the first company on my list to ask to Donate. I said,"No need to send best tent but some kind of tent better than nothing". I pleaded with Oneida flatware company, Rubbermaid company Cups and Trashcans and Brooms and Dustpans, and many more companies. Just to send basic the products they will need. Common Sense Items. This after Red Cross told me, "I don't know what they need really". Yet through this all all I see Haitians getting over and over is rice and bottle water. I am not ignorant to state that is only what they are getting. Yet time and time again they report in National News many parts of Port-au-Price people still haven't received any help as the U.S. soldiers we sent are safe on airbase for P.R. photo. All this as they show U. S. soldiers/ Natinal Guard in many TV ads are shown building houses and helping people... This as they go there as if on vacation to feel warm and fuzzy as if doing any good. Need we need to go revisit Katrina to show how well OUR government handles things? Not to mention 9-11 as many widowed spouses were left penniless due to husband dying in tower as they stayed at home to raise children. This as many organizations "Charities" collected millions in which months later many of the living victims sat there on verge of losing house and apartment with mounting bills piling up. We can always send the Haitians the toxic formaldehyde laced FEMA Trailer that our fellow Louisianans were not permitted to use due to state and local laws about no trailers. Yet what a way to help, I sure the people who received trails are very thankful from their hospital beds sick from the overwhelming fumes of love place into the care of making of the trailers. Will not the Haitians need pot and pans to cook the food they get? Plates in which to eat the food? Utensils to eat them with? Place to bath, use bathroom?, Clothes to wear?, Tents and cots to sleep in and on, Boxes and Bags to carry what little items they have left?. Need I go on about need things to rebuild?. Brooms to clean up mess, trashcans, Dump trucks, bulldozers, cranes, jackhammers, crowbars, hammers, saws of all types. Back hoes to help bury people found dead, shovels. This to say they are on Small Island...need I remember what happen to Easter Island people? Wood, nails all other tools. Instead of just helping them to get back to building shanty houses. Why not fully go all out and get them up to 21 Century. If we don't help them to get to place to help themselves we will be fighting a lost battle for generations to come. Train them to learn to build proper houses and buildings that will survive a earthquake and hurricane. Help them to get equipment to grow larger farms, raise cattle etc. Build tech schools while graduates must work off cost by 2 years volunteer work after to help fellow Haitians. Shall I be ignorant to forget the past as we sent skids of millions of dollars to Iraq to rebuild and much of the money went missing, along with much other equipment and weapons??? What is the point of watching the "News" to keep up with world when many people forget a month later what was reported before ???? Like I stated we could just give Haitians money Direct and they can walk on down to their local Walmart store to get basics they need. I sure Haitians could go for quality baby formula laced with melamine or any other items from China painted with lead. Fresh vegetables from gardens?? Why? when have many companies ready to feed people with are colorful packaged processed foods. I sure we have tainted Aids Vaccines from the Bayer company to give and some hepatitis spinach and swine flu infected pigs and mad cows to dump on them. Shall we add many recalled toys to settle the children minds and flame retardant drenched car seats?. Then we can help them to start growing their GM Monsanto/AMD crops while we are at it. Plan Parenthood along with Drug companies can work to help their local river have fish change sexes. We can get many Haitians back to work selling Mary Kay and Cutco knives while others sell you Tupperware, Avon and they all can invest in their future with Amway. America always knows how to treat the less fortunate and downtrodden. As we wait for Haliburton and other companies to move in to rebuild everything for 4x - 10x the cost. A CEO needs to pay for his new multi-million dollar secluded beach front property some how right? This would also help the struggling auto companies since many of the Haiti's Government officials lost their cars. Bring on the Escalades and Mercedes Benz will be needed and Several Boeing 27 Million Dollar Private Jets. Many of the other Haiti government workers will need new cars also and Exxon Mobile need to open new gas stations where Phillip Morris can sell Cigarettes to Haitian teens looking for a brighter future. Not to mention Pepsi and Coca-Cola need to fattening up a lot of those starving looking people. (Dentist need part of the action too). A new day is dawning for Haiti around the corner as they look forward to their new lives revolving around Con-sumer-ism.. A I-phone in every hand while drink Gatorade while wearing Nike shirt and Reebok shoes all while children settle down for the night watching their favorite Disney movie. Brings a tear to a Haitian mom's eye as she pulls out a tissue from her Prada bag.
